    Precautions after gum contouring

For two weeks after surgery, refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol. Do not touch or stimulate the surgical area with your tongue or hands, and avoid pulling your lips with your hands. Instead of brushing, disinfect the surgical area with mouthwash.

    Gum whitening.

The presence of a dark redcolourin the gums rather than a healthy pink may indicate pigment deposition. However, gum whitening can enhance the aesthetics of the oral cavity, and satisfactory results can be expected through the procedure.

    Is gum whitening permanent?

    Gum whitening can be semi-permanent.

    Gum whitening can be semi-permanent.

By having touch-up whitening sessions every six months, the duration of the whitening effect can be extended. Occasionally, there might be a slight recurrence of melanin pigment deposition, causing minor discoloration, but this is very rare.

    Precautions after gum whitening treatment:

Refrain from consuming staining beverages such as coffee, cola, etc. If consumed, rinse immediately with water. Consistent maintenance such as regular scaling is necessary.
